Mother-centric programme 'Maa' organized at Tengakhat College in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A mother-centric programme was organized at Tengakhat College in collaboration with M/S G. Bordoloi Enterprise recently. The programme was named as Maa (mother).

The Principal of the college, Dr.Kiran Hazarika formally inaugurated the programme by lighting a candle. Dr Hazarika, while delivering his welcome speech, said that the era of 'Kaliyuga' was not in the favour of mothers. Many instances are seen where mothers are ill treated. For this reason, he said, such programmes should be organized for creating awareness among the people about importance of mother. The key speaker of the programme was Gobin Bordoloi, owner of M/S G. Bordoloi Enterprise. He emphasized the importance of mother. The chief guest of the programme was Dr. KM Bhagawati, Principal of DHSK Commerce College, who acknowledged the noble efforts of such an awareness programme.

Over 60 elderly mothers actively participated in the programme and were felicitated with gifts.
