Mother kills drug addict son in Doomdooma

TINSUKIA: In a gruesome incident, a mother killed her drug addicted gambler son and buried him at the backyard of the house which remained unnoticed for 17 days till his friends suspected foul play by his mother and his body was retrieved in a decomposed state on Sunday. The incident took place at Diamuli Tea Estate under Baghjan PS in Doomdooma revenue circle.

According to reports, Sanjamoni Rajput (65) of no 2 line killed her only son, Ram Rajput (24) with firewood stick after she was assaulted by her son following refusal to pay him for gambling on the night of December 4.

The drug addicted gambler son used to torture her regularly for money. Sanjamoni after killing him buried him behind the house. After Ram went missing, his friends became curious and wanted to know his whereabouts. She initially misguided them by saying that he went to Arunachal Pradesh but later confessed the crime. The Baghjan police retrieved the body in presence of magistrate on Sunday.
