Motorcycle stolen in Sivasagar district

GAURISGAR: Sensation prevailed at Phulpanichiga under Gaurisagar police station in Sivasagar district after some unidentified miscreants stole a TVS Apache bike bearing registration number AS O3 AD 2306 from the verandah of Mukul (Lulu) Neog of Changmai village who passed away on October 1 due to COVID-19.

The motorcycle belonged to Nayanjyoti Neog, a jawan of Indian Army and the nephew of Mukul Neog. Nayanjyoti Neog lodged an FIR at Gaurisagar Police station. A case no 88/2020 under IPC 380 has been registered at Gaurisagar Police Station. The Officer in-charge of Gaurisagar PS, Dibyajyoti Morang has collected CCTV footage of some business establishments of Jhanji area and is investigating the case.
