MP, MLAs, EMs take part in Gunotsav-2022 in Kokrajhar district

KOKRAJHAR: On the second day of the phase-II Gunotsav-2022 being held in Kokrajhar district, MP, MLAs, EMs and MCLA of BTR, along with IAS, IPS and ACS officers are also taking part as External Evaluators.

Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka also visited various schools and took stock of the ongoing Gunotsav in the district and to ensure smooth conduct of evaluation by the External Evaluators and senior officials of the Government of Assam. They were seen on Tuesday visiting their allotted schools and assessing the performance of students as well as other indicators of the school on their first day evaluation process as External Evaluators.

As per scheduled visit dates, on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary visited Debargaon Higher Secondary School, MLAs Jayanta Basumatary and Jiron Basumatary visited Choraikhola ME School, Mothambil High School respectively, BTC EMs Reo Reoa Narzihary, Arup Kumar Dey, Wilson Hasda and MCLA Sajal Kumar Singha visited Balagaon High School, DN Higher Secondary School, Haraputa Telipara LP School and Damrapara ME School respectively and conducted assessments on learning outcomes of children, including co-scholastic activities, use of resources and community participation.

Accordingly, attending as External Evaluators, high-ranking officials of the Assam Government, Gautam Talukdar, Secretary of Power visited Muslim Patti LP School, Bhaskar Phukan, Secretary of Housing and Urban Affairs, visited Town Hindi LP school and Dr Sadak Singh, Joint Secretary of Transformation and Development, visited Sishukalyan Siksha Mandir ME School on their first day of the three-day evaluation programme. They conducted evaluation on skills of students in subject areas and observed key aspects of schools functioning.
