Donkamukam: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun its poll activities by organizing mandal committee meeting with a 'Mission 100' target for the upcoming assembly election in each of the MAC constituency areas under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.

Under No. 5 Rongkhang Mandal Committee's first executive meeting held at Hanlokrok Mini Stadium Hall, West Karbi Anglong, on Tuesday, MP Horensing Bey attended as chief guest.

"We as BJP workers should always think whether the poorest of the poor has been benefitted or not. We should feel proud that we got the opportunity to serve the people as BJP workers. Prime Minister Modi has initiated many measures to improve the country's economy which has been hit due to the pandemic and within two years, everything will be normal," said the MP. "Through various measures taken by the government, our youths will get the opportunity to become atma nirbhar (self-reliant)," he added.

In the meeting, the BJP leaders stressed co-operation from all so that the programmes taken up during the 'Seva Saptah' become successful. Radio was given to the booth committee leaders by the MP so that people could listen to the Prime Minister's 'Mann ki Baat' programme.

Earlier, Mongol Hanse and his team from All Party Hills Leader Conference (APHLC) and two members from Congress joined the BJP in the meeting.
