MP Topon Kumar Gogoi Participates in Sanitization Drive in Lahingia Gaon in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: Jorhat Lok Sabha MP Topon Kumar Gogoi pulled up his sleeves against the second wave of pandemic COVID-19. The Parliamentarian participated in a mass sanitization drive at Lahingia Gaon in Sivasagar district on Sunday. The entire village was thoroughly sanitized under the stewardship of MP Gogoi. It may be noted that a containment zone was recently declared by the district administration in the locality. During today's sanitization drive, food packets were also distributed amongst the residents of the containment zone. Notably, mass COVID-19 testing (Rapid Antigen Test) will be carried out in the village on Monday.

During the sanitization drive, the Circle Officer of Sivasagar Revenue Circle, Bhaskar Jyoti Rajbongshi and Assistant Commissioner, Manisha Kalita was also present amongst others. It may be noted that before the sanitization drive, MP Gogoi visited Sivasagar Civil Hospital and distributed fruits for the COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at the hospital. He also donated blood during his visit to the hospital.
