Municipal polls: Election Observer reaches Tezpur

TEZPUR: In view of the ensuing elections to the four Municipal Boards under Sonitpur district, the Assam State Election Commission has appointed Anil Chandra Das, Director, Small Savings, Assam as the Observer for Sonitpur district. After arriving in Tezpur, the Observer interacted with all in-charge magistrates for the four Municipal Boards of the district and took stock of the status of nomination and other preparations for the upcoming civic body polls.

The Observer has appealed to the public to contact him in case of any election-related complaints or grievances at Room No. 1, Circuit House, Tezpur between 5 PM and 6 PM, February 20 onwards on all working days or on his mobile number 98592-10422 or 03712-220100 (Observer Cell) or at tezpurobservercellmb 2022@ gmail.com. The observer also oversaw the process of scrutiny of nominations on Thursday in various MBs of the district.
