Mushroom poisoning kills one under Umrangso Police Station

HAFLONG: In a tragic incident of mushroom poisoning, one 60-year-old person under Umrangso Police Station died while he was on his way to Haflong Civil Hospital on Sunday night. At least 15 members of three families fell sick after consuming the wild mushroom on April 13. They were first admitted to Umrangso hospital but the condition of six persons deteriorated. Then they were referred to Haflong Civil Hospital but on the way one breathed his last. He was identified as Manik Kurmi. Among the six persons condition of two persons was stated to be critical.
