BAKSA: A music video and poster for voters' awareness, basically to attract young voters, were released on Monday by Deputy Commissioner of Baksa district, Ranjan Sharma and brand ambassador for awareness campaign in the district, actor Helena Daimary in a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's office conference hall.

In his speech, Deputy Commissioner Ranjan Sharma said that for women empowerment, this time the district administration of Baksa had chosen Helena as brand ambassador for the awareness programme. He also appealed to the media to spread the message amongst the young voters so that they come out in large numbers to participate in the electoral process.

"In the last assembly election, turnout of the voters in the district was 82 per cent. This time it must be up to 85 to 90 per cent," the Deputy Commissioner said. Helena Daimary and singer Nabin Boro also spoke on the occasion and expressed their gratitude and happiness to be part of this venture of Baksa district administration.
