Myanmar Air Force personnel visits Jorhat Air Force Station on May 27 and 28

Tezpur: A team of 14 officers and personnel of Myanmar Air Force made a two-day visit to the Air Force Station Jorhat on May 27 and May 28 as a defence cooperation plan between India and Myanmar. The aim of the visit was to understand the ethos of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and share work culture of each other.

The team visited various sections and formations in the station to get a glimpse of working of the IAF. The team observed the working culture of the IAF with keen interest. They were impressed at the high standards of professionalism displayed by the IAF.

Air Commodore SK Verma VSM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jorhat interacted with the team. Senior officers of the station were also present during the interaction. The Myanmarese team expressed its sincere gratitude to the Air Officer to give them an opportunity to know about the IAF. Both sides appreciated the need for increased cooperation between the Air Forces of neighbouring nations, Lt Col Harsh Wardhan Pande, Defence PRO, Tezpur said.
