TANGLA: The alumni, parents, guardians and stakeholders' meet 2022 of Tangla College, one of the most prestigious educational institution offering education in all the three streams vide Arts, Science and Commerce located in Tangla town in Udalguri district was held with a day-long event at the college auditorium hall on Sunday. The open session on the occasion was chaired by Vice-Principal, Dr. Anjali Chakravorty where Principal of the institute, Dr. Prasen Daimari delivered the welcome speech. In his speech he dwelt at length on the journey of the college from 1972 wherein it has entangled all the three streams and acknowledged the contributions of stakeholders, parents and students in the trajectory growth of the college. The session was also addressed by Co-ordinator IQAC cell, Mintu Pathak who spoke on the forthcoming NAAC peer team visit to Tangla College on the month of January 2022 and made a fervent appeal for suggestions from alumnus and stakeholders of the institute. He also reitarated that the institute has blossomed with all the three streams offering various curriculums with modern infrastructure and facilities for the students. The meet also witnessed the release of "Concotion: A collection of Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Food and Literature" by HoD of English, Prof. Shubra Ghosh which is edited by Dr. Narayan Ch. Gahatraj, Khanin Boro and Ananya Ghosh published by Department of English and Research & Publication Cell IQAC, Tangla College. An almuni association was formed on the ocassion with alumnus and senior journalist, Imran Hussain as president and along with twenty five member committee. Pertinently, a office of Alumni Association and NSS office was also inaugurated on the ocassion. The meet ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Narayan Ch. Gahatraj.
