Nagaon district election authority schedules 15 all-women polling stations

NAGAON: Nagaon district election authority has scheduled a total of 15 all-women polling stations in the district and all of these polling stations are in Nagaon town itself under Nagaon LAC. According to sources, all the 15 all-women polling stations are east, middle and west at Dakshin Haiborgaon Kolongpar LP School, east, middle and west at Nagaon Law College, west and north at Ratnakanta Borkakati High School, east, west and south at Kiranbala Goswami Girls’ High School and east, west, middle and north at Bengali Girls’ HS School.

On the other hand, the district election authority on Wednesday organized road shows at various spots of the town to create awareness among voters under SVEEP where popular television actor Siddartha Sarma, known as KK, also took part and performed a street play with a group of artistes just in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon. During the sensitization programme, KK urged people to exercise their franchise in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls without any kind of hesitation.
