Tamulpur: A Bangladeshi citizen was arrested at Laupara village under Nagrijuli Police outpost along the Indo-Bhutan border in the district of Baksa.

He was identified as Md. Wased (45), son of Md. Hasem of Bhaluka village of Maymansing district in Bangladesh. On Saturday night, Md.Wased was found loitering around in Laupara village by some local youths. The local youths informed Nagrijuli police about the unknown people. After getting the information, a police team from Nagrijuli Police outpost rushed to Laupara and Md.Wased was taken to Nagrijuli Police outpost.

On Sunday, Md.Wased was handed over to Tamulpur Police Station by Nagrijuli Police. Tamulpur police interrogated him and after interrogation, police told media persons that Md.Wased entered India three years ago through the Meghalaya border and then he came to Assam. He was moving here and there since the last three years and on Saturday night he reached Laupara. A case has been registered against Md Wased after and FIR was lodged on Sunday night at Tamulpur police station by Tamulpur border police. On Monday, Md. Wased was produced before the judicial magistrate.
