Nalbari DC Varnali Deka reviews implementation of Mission Basundhara 2.0

NALBARI: Nalbari District Commissioner Varnali Deka on Monday visited Tihu to get first-hand information on the performance of Tihu Circle Office in terms of Basundhara 2.0 and to take stock of the ongoing works of Tihu Municipal Board.

DC Deka visited the Tihu Circle Office and inspected the performance of the Lat Mandals and other staff under Mission Basundhara 2.0 and intercated with them. She especially reviewed the performance of the revenue staff and then directed the Lat Mandals and all other staff to expedite the pending works and ensure completion of the scheme within the stipulated time. Besides, she examined the availability of adequate staff and necessary infrastructure required for disposal of works under Basundhara 2.0.and encouraged them for quality performance.

Later, DC Varnali Deka paid a visit to Tihu Municipal Board Office and reviewed the various ongoing construction works by the board. She also visited various erosion sites in Ward No.10 and other erosion sites caused by Tihu River. She asked the Chairman and Executive Officer of Tihu Municipal Board, the EE of PWD Roads and others concerned, including the contractor, to come for a meeting at the DC’s office on August 30 to work out a solution.

DC Deka, along with minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, participated in the inauguration of the renovation works of Tihu Gandhi Bhawan to be implemented under CM untied fund. She asked the departments concerned to ensure proper implementation of the project.
