Nalbari District Agriculture Office organizes Programme on weather services

NALBARI: Nalbari District Agriculture Office organized a one day district level training programme on weather service in collaboration with M/S Skymet Weather Services Pvt Ltd. on Tuesday. State Coordinator of Skymet Weather Services Pvt Ltd Ashwini Rabi Das discussed the importance of weather information and forecasting in agriculture in detail.

He also briefed on tracking technology in agriculture and various tools used to know about possible weather. He spoke about the facilities of weather stations and said that there are weather stations in three districts in Assam under M/S Skymet Weather Services Pvt. Ltd. The training was conducted by District Agricultural Marketing Coordinator Satyen Talukdar. Officials of Nalbari, Darang, Barpeta and Baksa district were present.
