Nalbari Sahitya Samaj a branch of Axom Sahitya Sabha commemorated Hitesh Deka

NALBARI: Nalbari Sahitya Samaj, a branch of Axom Sahitya Sabha commemorated Hitesh Deka, an ex-secretary of Nalbari Sahitya Samaj and a noted columnist on Sunday at Khakhrisal.

Dr Binoy Kumar Mazumdar, the vice president of Nalbari Sahitya Samaj presided over the ceremony. Noted authors Hirenda Kumar Sarma and Ajit Rajbongshi delivered their speeches on different works of the late columnist. Ananta Haloi, a retired teacher and teacher of late Hitesh Deka also delivered his speech on the role of Hitesh Deka. Boijointi Deka, the wife of late Hitesh Deka lit an earthen lamp before the portrait of the succumbed at the beginning of the meeting. Manash Jyoti Sarma, the assistant secretary of Nalbari Sahitya Samaj explained the objectives of commemorating an expired social man at the very beginning.
