National Assessment and Accreditation Council peer team visits Kokrajhar Commerce College

Kokrajhar: A three-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited Kokrajhar Commerce College on Friday and assessed the college on every aspect. The peer members were warmly welcomed and felicitated by the volunteers of Range Rovers unit of the college. The peer team comprised of Prof. Sunil Gupta, former Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Dr. Ketan Upadhyay, professor of MS University, Baroda and Dr. Kashmir Singh, Principal of Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

The peer team appreciated the college and suggested to improve the academic and research work of the faculty members. Further, they advised digitalizing most of the areas of work. The peer members also visited the villages and schools adopted by the college on the last day and interacted with the Headmaster of Magurmari High School, Paresh Chandra Roy and the students.

On the first day, the peer team members enjoyed the colourful cultural programme presented by the students. In the exit meeting with the peer team, the Principal of Kokrajhar Commerce College, Dr. Ratneswar Debnath gave his inaugural speech and elaborated the history of college and its achievement. Prof. Sunil Gupta, one of the peer team members, highlighted the value and importance of the ongoing NAAC accreditation in the college.
