Biswanath Chariali: The Biswanath district-level National Children’s Science Congress, 2019 was held successfully on Saturday in Pub Behali Higher Secondary School, Bedeti with a day-long programme.
The programme commenced with flag hoisting by Joyram Hazarika, Inspector of Schools, Sonitpur in the morning. It was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the child scientists administered by award-winning child scientists Hirak Rajbanshi and Ajit Shah. The inaugural session was presided over by Joyram Hazarika, Inspector of Schools and chairman of Biswanath District National Children’s Science Congress while objectives were explained by Ridul Das, coordinator of the Congress.
Around 201 projects on the focal theme of ‘Science, Technology and Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation’ were presented by child scientists representing ME, MV, High and Higher Secondary schools of Biswanath district. The technical session was conducted by Dr Bipul Saikia, Dr Raju Ojah, Soumitra Baruah, Lily Bordoloi, Dr. Ratna Kinkar Goswami, Dr Bhakta Prasad Goutam, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma and others. The selected projects will represent the district in the State-level competition to be held in Tinsukia from November 1.
