National Doctors' Day observed in Sivasagar Civil Hospital

DEMOW: National Doctors' Day was observed in Sivasagar Civil Hospital on Friday. The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA), Sivasagar Unit observed the National Doctors' Day in Sivasagar Civil Hospital on Friday. On the occasion, the retired doctors of the Sivasagar district paid tribute and lit earthen lamps in front of the photo of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy who was born and died on the same day, July 1. Doctors' Day is observed in his memory every year.

Dr.Rupam Borkotoky, president of Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA), Sivasagar Unit as well Deputy Superintendent of Demow Model Hospital presided over the meeting. Dr.Dijen Koch, Secretary of Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA), Sivasagar Unit spoke about the aims and objectives of the meeting. Dr.Ripun Borpujari, Retired Joint Director Health Services Sivasagar was present in the programme as specific orator. The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA), Sivasagar Unit felicitated 13 renowned retired doctors of Sivasagar District with a phulam gamosa and a citation.
