National Librarians’ Day observed at Tinsukia College

TINSUKIA: On the occasion of National Librarians’ Day, the Tinsukia College Library in collaboration with National Digital Library of India and IQAC of Tinsukia College organized a lecture programme on Saturday which was inaugurated by Dr Surjya Chutia by lighting of ceremonial lamp.

The invited speaker was Dr Achyut Kumar Borthakur, a prominent sport organizer of Tinsukia and former Head of the History Department of Tinsukia College, who deliberated on ‘Relevance of Library in the Present Digital Age’. A poster-making competition and on-spot poem writing was also organized and the winners of the competitions were disturbed prizes.
