Haflong: Along with the rest of the country, the National Press Day was observed with much enthusiasm and fervour. The programme was organized by (DIPRO) District Information and Public Relations Office in collaboration with the Subdivision Information and Public Relations Office.
The meeting was organized to discuss the theme ‘Reporting-Interpretation: A journey’. Welcoming all the participants and the media persons, DIPRO Purabi Phonglo gave an insight into the background note after which the topic was on a discussion by all the journalists present.
Shekar Ingti, ADIPR, gave a special address during the meeting and stressed that media persons should do factual reporting. Each media person present was felicitated with a phulam gamosa.
As a part of the cultural programme, Dipanjali Sharma presented beautiful songs enthralling the audience. The formal meeting ended with a vote of thanks delivered by SDIPRO Punima Hakmaosa.
