National Science Day observed at Rupai and Doomdooma Jatiya Vidyalaya

DOOMDOOMA: National Science Day was observed at Rupai and Doomdooma Jatiya Vidyalaya recently along with the rest of the country to commemorate the invention of ‘Raman Effect’ by first Nobel laureate Sir CV Raman.

In Rupai Jatiya Vidyalaya, the day was observed with plantation of 48 tree saplings and exhibition of 58 science models, based on which a science model competition was also organized. Later, a meeting was held which was addressed by vice-president of School Management Committee, Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan and Manash Chaudhury, subject Teacher, Dangari HAS School.

On the other hand, the day was observed at Doomdooma Jatiya Vidyalaya with a science model competition followed by a meeting held thereafter. Headmistress Surabhi Moran and president of managing committee Arjun Baruah spoke on the life and achievements of Sir C V Raman.
