National workshop on research methodology concludes at Bodoland University

Kokrajhar: A two weeks long National Workshop on Research Methodology organized by the Padma Shri Madaram Brahma Central Library, Department of History and Department of Political Science, Bodoland University concluded on Friday. The inaugural session of the workshop was graced as chief guest by Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University (BU) Prof. Laishram Ladu Singh. The Registrar of Bodoland University, Dr. Prahlad Basumatari graced the inaugural session of the workshop as an inaugurator.

A number of experts from various parts of the country attended the session as resource persons including Prof. Narendra Lahkar and Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh from Gauhati University, Dr. Pralip Narzary and Dr. Melody Kshetrimayum from IIPS, Mumbai, Prof. P.K. Patra from Bodoland University; Dr. Jennifer Kipgen from TISS, Guwahati Campus, Dr. Joydeep Baruah and Dr. Akshay Jyoti Sarm from OKDISCD, Guwahati, Prof. Oinam Ranjit Singh from Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, Dr. Sangrang Brahma, Bodoland University and Pranav Kumar Singh from CIT Kokrajhar.

The workshop witnessed a positive response from the student community. A total of 94 research scholars, teachers of various colleges and Universities took part in the workshop.

While asked about the aims and objectives of organizing workshop, Dr. Sangrang Brahma, the organizing secretary of the workshop said, “The basic objective of the workshop is to create awareness in the academic research activities in the Bodoland area thus creating knowledge resources.” The valedictory session of the concluding ceremony was chaired by Prof. Jyotiraj Pathak and attended by Prof. P.K. Patra, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Prahlad Basumatary, Registrar, Bodoland University, Birphung Narzary, Deputy Registrar, Bodoland University.
