NCC annual training camp held at Misa Military station

NAGAON: 8 Assam Battalion, NCC under the aegis of Group Headquarters, Tezpur, NCC, organized a 10-day combined annual training camp from December 22 at Misa Military station in the district. The objective of the camp is to introduce cadets to a regimental way of life and it aims to provide maximum merit as well as experience of range drill, firing and also specialized training to inculcate the spirit of adventure and promote national integration, a release added. The release stated further that during camp, the cadets would be undergoing physical training, drill, firing and other military basics including map reading, fieldcraft, battle craft and other common subjects like disaster management, social service and health.

Several cadets from various educational institutions of Nagaon, Morigaon, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji and Karbi Anglong districts have participated in the ongoing camp.
