NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa Lays Foundation Stone for Road Construction Projects

Haflong: There are many reasons for the people of Harangajao, an important and bordering upcoming township of Dima Hasao, to be happy as the Chief Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa laid the foundation for the overall development of Harangjao town on Wednesday.

CEM Gorlosa was accompanied by Executive Members of NCHAC, Amendu Hojai, Samuel Changsan, Ngamrothang Hmâr, Commissioner and Special Secretary to the Government of Assam, PWD (Road), Rajesh Kemprai along with prominent personalities.

Among these projects include construction of road from BG Culvert to playground at Boro Narainpur village playground under special grant for the year 2018-2019, construction of ICBP road from Harangajao main road to Gamadi Hawar under SOPD 2019-2020, M & BT road from Shiv Mandir to LJV School at Harangajao under SOPD 2019-2020, construction of Road L409 to Harangajao Railway Station to Maharajpur road under PMGSY 2018-19, construction of road L025 NH 54 EXTNSN Road Kaporcherra village approach road under PMGSY 2018-19, construction of RCC BR. NO. 1/1 on NH 54 E to Jerikho village via Dolaichunga Road and under Haflong LAC, and conversion of 1000 timber bridge to RCC bridges for the year 2017-18.

This was followed by inauguration of Gamadi Hawar Community Hall at Harangajao, Adivasi Community Hall at Harangajao Deswali Village, Hrangkhol Community Hall at Rekho Harangajao and Nepali Community Hall at Harangajao.

Meanwhile, a newly-formed organization named Youth Association for People’s Help and Rural Initiatives’” (YAPHRI) has submitted a memorandum to the NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa highlighting various issues of Harangajao.
