DHUBRI: Neighbourhood Youth Parliament (NYP) was held under the auspices of Dhubri Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) in the auditorium of Agomani Development Block of the district recently.

Women and youths of Agomani Development Block of Dhubri district located along the Indo- Bangladesh border and inter-state border with West Bengal, attended the three-hour long conclave.

A host of officials from various departments spoke at a length on the health, education, Covid-19, children and women welfare, skill development, Deendayal Upadhyaya Gramin Kaushal Vikash Yojana, Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM), PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan, Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and many other flagship programmes of the Central Government being implemented by States in the country.

Circle Officer of Agomani, Bikramjit Borah, Prof (Rtd), Pratima Neogi, president of Dhubri Press Club, Bijoy Kumar Sharma, CDPO of District Social Welfare Department, Syeda Wahida Hussain, BPM of NHM, Mehtab Uddin Ahmed, Technical Specialist of Dhubri District World Vision India, Manisankar Mastana and other officials and resource persons spoke on the varied subjects, programmes, schemes and projects for the benefits of people. Earlier, Youth Coordinator of Dhubri district Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sharif Ahmed explained the objective of the Neighbourhood Youth Parliament in details.
