NEMSU protest in Goreswar; demand justice for Lafiqul Islam

GORESWAR: The Baksa district unit of North-East Muslim Students' Union (NEMSU) organized a human chain in the heart of Goreswar town in Baksa district on Tuesday to demand justice for Lafiqul Islam, president of All Bodoland Minority Students' Union (ABMSU).

The student organization criticized the State Government for failing to arrest the culprits who brutally murdered Lafiqul Islam in Kokrajhar in 2017. The NEMSU also came down heavily on MLA Shiladitya Deb for allegedly describing reputed Assamese litterateur, Syed Abdul Malik, as an 'intellectual jihadi'.
