MANGALDAI: The birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was observed in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai on Monday as the 'Parakram Divas'. The celebration was aimed to inspire the students with the life and philosophy of the great leader and also to instill in them the spirit of patriotism. A mega painting contest was organised to mark the occasion on the theme 'Exam Warrior' based on the book authored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The painting contest where one hundred students from different secondary level educational institutions of the region took part was inaugurated by in charge Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai Hitesh Kumar Verma. A jury of three judges comprising renowned artistes have adjudged Jintumoni Sarma (Kendriya Jatiya Vidyalaya), Abhiree Ayana Das (Kendriya Vidyalaya), Kamalika Deka (Brilliant Academy), Dalismita Deka (Maharishi Vidya Mandir) and Rohit Das (Kendriya Vidyalaya) as the five best participants. The winners were later awarded.
KALAIGAON: Under the patronage of All Assam Bengali Youth Students' Federation (AABYSF) Kalaigaon Regional Committee and in association with the members of Netaji Juvak Sangha of Balipara celebrated the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the premises of Netaji Juvak Sangha at Balipara on Monday.
The programme was started with tri-colour flag hoisting and this was hoisted by bengali leader Sujit Sarkar. After that, the flag of All Assam Bengali Youth Students' Federation (AABYSF) was hoisted by Bikash Devnath, president of Kalaigaon All Assam Bengali Youth Students' Federation (AABYSF). After flag hoisting, followers of Netaji offered flower to Netaji's statue. On the occasion, a seminar was held and this was presided over by Sahadeb Das. Sujit Sarkar, former activist of All Assam Bengali Youth Student Federation (AABYSF) spoke about ideology of Netaji.
