New body of Kokrajhar district United People's Party Liberal formed

KOKRAJHAR: A general meeting of the Kokrajhar district committee of the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) party was held at Banargaon community hall in Kokrajhar on Friday.

The meeting was chaired by Bidyadhar Brahma Choudhury, president of the Kokrajhar district committee of UPPL. The meeting discussed deeply over the uplift and development of the party affairs.

During the meeting, a new committee of Kokrajhar district committee of UPPL party was formed with Kokrajhar East MLA Lawrence Islary as president and Suraj Mashahary and Amulya Sutradhar as general secretaries.

UPPL MLA for Sidli LAC, Jayanta Basumatary said that the UPPL party was working with dedicated towards the welfare and integration of the society since its inception. He informed that the UPPL has been forming new committees of the district committees across the BTR districts for strengthening the party.

MLA Lawrence Islary urged the party members and supporters to be dedicated while building an integrated environment in the society.

Among others, BTC MCLA Madhav Chandra Chetry, ex BTC MCLA Jyotirindra Brahma, Chirang district UPPL president Nirmal Brahma, Bijni district UPPL president Phanindra Boro were prominent attendees in the programme.
