New body of Oikya Sena Asom formed in Golaghat

Golaghat: The Oikya Sena Asom (OSA) formed its new Golaghat district committee in an organizational meeting held at the conference hall of Golaghat Municipality Office on Saturday. A new district committee was formed comprising 81 members with Prabin Kr Das as chief adviser, Mousum Saikia as adviser, Lakhi Prasad Bora as working president, Rajib Phukan as president and Toufik Ahmed as chief general secretary.

In the meeting, central committee vice president Pallab Borthakur, general secretary Forid Islam Hazarika, secretary Jiauddin Ahmed were present. In the meeting, more than two hundred members from various regional committees of Oikya Sena Asom took part.

In the press statement, chief general secretary Toufic Ahmed said Oikya the Sena Asom would fight against corruption, and work to protect indigenous people of Assam. In the meeting, the women body of OSA, Golaghat district also was formed with Ajifa Begum as vice president, Bhabani Kakoti as president, Rekhamoni Burgohain as chief general secretary and Joya Bharali, Pinki Gogoi as secretary.
