New Bongaigaon Government Railway Police arrested drug peddler at Railway junction

BONGAIGAON: Following information, New Bongaigaon GRP seized drugs and arrested a drug peddler on Friday. Talking to press Sanjib Choudhury, IC, New Bongaigaon GRP, said that they had information about the drug smuggling. "I, along with a team, moved to Rangiya Rail station and from there, boarded the 12508 Dn Aronai Express train and started search operation. During search operation, we found about 60 gram drug, which seems like brown sugar, in the bag of a passenger. The drugs were in six cases in his bag. The person has been identified as Fizarul Hoque and as he stated, he was carrying this drugs from Nagaon to Kerala. We deboarded him at New Bongaigaon Railway junction and arrested him. There was another peddler with him but he managed to escape. Legal procedure has been initiative."
