New committee of Journalists Union of Assam formed in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: The new committee of Journalists Union of Assam (JUA), Bongaigaon-Chirang district committee for the session of 2022-24 was formed on Friday in a general meeting held at the Greater Bongaigaon Press Club premises.

The meeting was presided over by the union's branch president Ranjit Kumar Sarma where several noted persons, including Dhanjit Das, union's state secretary, Monohar Rajbanshi, state joint secretary etc were present.

Ranjit Sarma was selected here as president whereas Upananda Sarma was selected as working president, Sujit Kumar Ray, Tejesh Tripathy and Hitesh Ray as vice presidents, and Dharam Ranjan Ray as secretary. Two central committee members were selected here from the branch. They are Kallol Dev Sarma and Prasanta Ray.
