Kokrajhar/ Gossaigaon: A joint operation led by CI, Kachugaon and APR along with 12 Sikh LI Army, 210 Cobra in the Bamba area of Ripu Reserve Forest (RF) along the Indo-Bhutan border helped trace three new recruits.
The operation was launched based on specific input regarding new recruits joining the National Democratic Front of Bodoland- Saraigwra (NDFB- S) through Jwnwm alias Tamang. The team apprehended the individuals along with arms when they were on their way to join the rebel group NDFB-S led by Batha. One cadre managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
The cadres have been identified as Monjit Mushahary (38), Golap Mushahary (27) and Birswn Narzary (19). The team seized one 7.65 mm pistol, six pistol magazines, six rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition and one dao, 40 kg rice and tarpaulin. A case has been registered in relation to the case and further investigation is on to nab more such recruits.
