New NFSA cards distributed among 100 beneficiaries at West Karbi Anglong

DONKAMUKAM: Member of Parliament (MP) of No: 3 Diphu ST Autonomous Parliamentary Constituency, and EM Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Horensing Bey on Sunday formally distributed new NFSA card to 100 beneficiaries under Rongkhang MAC constituency at Borthol Community Hall, West Karbi Anglong. The cards were from Rongkhang Multi-purpose Lamps Ghilani, Donkamukam.

"I am hopeful that those recipients of the cards are genuine BPL categories," said the MP while addressing the small gathering.

"Global pandemic due to the outbreak of COVID-19 has created a gap among us for a couple months, but don't worry we shall overcome it by working and helping each other," the MP said.

While appreciating the outgoing president of BJP Rongkhang Mandal Committee Prodip Rongpi, he said that he garnered over 10,000 votes from No.5 Rongkhang MAC constituency in the last MP election, because of the outgoing President.

His dedicated work will be remembered, he added. In program, Prodip Rongpi was felicitated by the party workers and new successor Bimal Timung was introduced along with new office bearers.

Presided over by new president Bimal Timung, the meeting was attended by MAC Chandra Br Chetri, Rongkhang Lamps Chairman Mongolsing Bey, Chairman Hanlokrok Lamps Membor Terang, VDC Chairman Rongkhang MAC constituency Dinen Bordoloi, Chairman Karbi Customary Law Board Mansing Teron among others.
