New NIT Silchar director Prof Rajat Gupta takes charge

SILCHAR: Prof Rajat Gupta took charge of director of National Institute of Technology (NIT) from his outgoing predecessor Prof Shivaji Bandyopadhyay on Wednesday. Prof Gupta had earlier served as the director of NIT Silchar. Further he served as the director of Jammu and Kashmir NIT and Mizoram NIT. A noted educationist, Prof Gupta was conferred upon prestigious awards like Education Leadership Award, Rajiv Gandhi Education Excellence Award.
