DHUBRI: Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Dibakar Nath inaugurated the newly-installed elevator and conference -cum- community Hall at Dhubri Kalibari premises on Friday. In this connection a meeting was organised by Kalibari Trustee Board in its premises which was chaired by General Secretary of the board, Rabindra Nath Roy.
Besides, Dhubri Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri Income Tax Officer, Amit Deb were present in the programme. They appreciated the works done by the board. While explaining the objective of meeting, Treasurer of the board, Arabinda Paul said that for quite a long time, the need of elevator and conference-cum- community hall was felt as the Kalibari premises is a multi-storeyed building and a lot of religious and social functions are held round the year.
Talking to The Sentinel, an office bearer of Kalibari Trustee Board, Dipankar Mazumdar said that the board had been relentlessly making efforts to make this religious place a comfortable one and these two works were towards the fulfilment of facilities. "Kalibari Trustee Board spent nearly Rs. 50 lakhs to get the elevator installed and conference-cum-community Hall constructed," Mazumdar added.
