NF Railway GM Anshul Gupta inspects infrastructure in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: NF Railway General Manager Anshul Gupta on Friday inspected Simaluguri-Dibrugarh section via Sivasagar over Tinsukia division. Gupta inspected the existing infrastructure, safety installations, SEJ No. 70 and point and crossing No. 33 of the station and also the newly constructed power house at Simalguri. This was followed by inspection of Curve No.2 (4 Degree) & engineering LC No. SM/2 in between Simaluguri-Sivasagar section.

At Sivasagar station NFR/ GM inspected the safety related items, equipment and passenger amenities of the station. Staff dealing with train operations were counseled during the inspection to adhere to all safety norms. Safety related parameters of the major Bridge No. 24 over the Burhidhing river in section Khowang-Lepetkata was inspected by GM/NFR today as a part of the annual inspection over the division.

"At Khowang station GM/NFR inspected proper functioning of all safety related gears and existing amenities of the station. He also inspected the railway colony at the location. Moreover, he also inspected the newly constructed children's park at the location. Apart from inspection of Dhamalgaon station from safety and amenities point of view, for convenience of the staff of the location, GM/NFR inspected the newly constructed 16 unit staff quarters at the location," NFR press release stated.

The inspection ended at Dibrugarh station, where GM/NFR inspected all the safety parameters, passenger amenities, crew lobby, running room, coaching depot, RPF office and RPF barrack of the location. Apart from that he also inspected the newly installed Parcel Management System, which will help in hassle-free service through proper tracking of the consignment of the parcels bringing transparency.

DRM, Bijaya Kumar Mishra, all branch officers including senior DEN coordination Arun Kumar, Senior DCM Swaraj Pradhan, DOM Shubham Kumar and other officers were present during the inspection.
