DHUBRI: Members of Sabuj Sathi, an NGO working on environment and socio-economic issues, visited village after village to create awareness among the villagers along the Indo-Bangla border about COVID-19.

They also distributed leaflets on coronavirus, led by president Suchibrata Singha Choudhury. The members have already reached out to the villagers living in the Indo-Bangla border of Bhogdanga, Kedar, Fauskarkuti, Nalia, Berbhangi and other adjacent villages under Golokganj police station of Dhubri district. The activists organized small meetings with villagers and told them about the symptoms of the viral disease and the preventive measures.

Talking to The Sentinel, Suchibrata Singha Choudhury said that after the Janata Curfew on Sunday, Sabuj Sathi would intensify its campaign against COVID-19 and appeal to people to follow social distancing by refraining from attending meetings and public gatherings.
