This is no doubt an out of box approach of the Chief Minister who since his assumption of office at Dispur has been making sincerest of efforts to remove any existing misgiving between the people of two valleys. This has also been aired by the political dignitaries on the dais. Hrishikesh Goswami, the media advisor to the Chief Minister, became the cynosure of attention for his moving words on journalists and journalism.
He said, “Journalists are the conscience-keeper of society and the voice of the voiceless. The power of the pen is immense. They have to use it properly for fair, free and fearless reporting. The media is working relentlessly for the good of society.” His government is quite responsive to the media fraternity and its social responsibility towards them.
