Nine COVID-19 positive cases detected in Hailakandi district | 20 Jul, 2020

HAILAKANDI: Nine fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam's Hailakandi district on Sunday, taking the total tally to 719.

Health authorities here disclosed that nine COVID-19 cases were detected while 51 tested negative in the past 24 hours.

12 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total number of persons released to 417. The number of active cases in the district is presently 300.

Under the Rapid Antigen Test, 38 persons were detected COVID-19 positive.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

181 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 6,127 persons under home quarantine.

Of the 12,822 swab samples taken, 10,756 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 538 persons are awaited.
