Nine fresh COVID-19 positive cases detected in Hailakandi district | 22 Jul, 2020

HAILAKANDI: Nine fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam's Hailakandi district on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 758. Health authorities here disclosed that of the nine positive cases on Tuesday, six have been detected under Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). Altogether 62 cases have been found positive under RAT so far.

Six persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of persons released to 453. The number of active cases in the district is presently 303. Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 120 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 6,224 under home quarantine. Of the 13,354 swab samples taken, 11,081 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 686 persons are awaited.
