JORHAT: Nine students of Jorhat district have excelled in the HS exam, 2019, results of which were declared on Saturday.
Imdad Hussain (6th) from Pragjyotika Junior College, Titabor, Riddhiman Sharma (7th ) from Pragya Academy , Sukanya Phukan (8th ) from Pragya Academy in the Science stream, Nabanita Gogoi (2nd) from Crescent Academy in Commerce stream, and in Arts stream , Kaushik Kachari (2nd) from Pragjyotika Junior College, Kabyashree Bhagawati (3rd) from Crescent Academy, Shatabdi Saikia (6th) from Crescent Academy, Shamim Sultana (7th) from Crescent Academy and Angshuman Gogoi (9th) from Pragjyotika Junior College brought laurels to the district by making it to rank holders’ list in Science, Arts and Commerce streams.
There was jubilation among the teachers and students of Pragya Academy, Crescent Academy and Pragjyotika Junior College.
Imdad Hussain, the sixth position holder in the Science stream from Pragjyotika Junior College, Titabor wants to go for research in basic science. Riddhiman Sharma, the seveth position holder in Science stream too wishes to take up pure science while eighth position holder Sukanya Phukan wishes to become a doctor and serve the poor and downtrodden.
The only position holder in the Commerce stream in the district, Nabanita Gogoi from Crescent Academy wishes to become a financial consultant after procuring higher degree in Delhi. The second position holder in Arts from Pragjyotika Junior College, Kaushik Kachari wished to become a civil servant, third rank holder Kabyashree Bhagawati wants to take up the teaching profession, sixth rank holder Satabdi Saikia wished to become an economist, seventh rank holder Shamim Sultana from Crescent Academy wants to become a civil servant while ninth rank holder Angshuman Gogoi wishes to become an IAS officer.
