HAFLONG: The two-day non-cooperation by district administration employees paralyzed the functioning of the Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner's office at Haflong on Friday and Saturday.

The district committee of All Assam District Administration Employees' Union (AADAEU) staged the non-cooperation programme on both days as per the guide lines of AADAEU. The employees have demanded providing graduate scale/grade pay as per entry level qualification to the assistants; scrapping of NPS and restoration of OPS; enhancement of entry-level educational qualification of Jarikarak (Process Server) and peon (Grade- IV) from Class VIII to HS and HSLC respectively; creation of posts of Superintendent, Head Assistant and Accountant posts in the amalgamated establishment of Deputy Commissioner; change of nomenclature of the post of Junior Assistance to District Administrative Assistant and senior Assistant to Senior District Administrative Assistant; notification of service rule for the post of copyist; restoration of the post of head Jarikarak and head peon; enhancement of salary structure of supervisory assistant; creation of new posts in the newly-declared district and subdivisional offices and release of DA (dearness allowance) which was kept on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic.
