LAKHIMPUR: The businessmen of North Lakhimpur Adarsha Bazaar withdrew their indefinite strike on Thursday. These businessmen initiated protest against the Lakhimpur district administration by staging indefinite sit-in from Wednesday demanding a stop to eviction of two businessmen from the bazaar. Adarsha Bazaar Management Committee in-charge secretary Ramani Dutta informed The Sentinel through a press release that Arun Pal, one of the two businessmen who were to be evicted, had meanwhile filed a case against the district administration. He further stated that the protest was withdrawn honouring the court.
