North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) Book Fair on March 21'

LAKHIMPUR: North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), the first and foremost autonomous college of Northeast, is organizing a book fair this year too like the previous three years. This 4th year event of the college will kick-start on March 21 and it will last up to March 28. In order to hold the event successfully, the organizing committee has already completed its due preparation. Co ordinator, Dr Arabinda Rajkhowa informed that Asom Prakashan Parishad, Banlata, Students' Stores, Ank-Bank, Saraighat Prakashan, Sanjiban Prakashan, Assam Publishing House Bandhab and many other publishing houses will take part in the event with their stalls.

"Many books published by various publication groups of other States will also be available in the book fair. Moreover, some books, which are important and essential, but not easy to find, will be available at the book fair. It will be opened from 9:00am to 7:00pm everyday," Dr. Arabinda Rajkhowa added.

In connection with the event, symposium, Kabi Sanmilan, quiz contest and interactive session on books, lecture events, cultural programmes, book release events, screening of the movie will be held everyday. Several writers, literary figures of the State will participate in the programmes. Former principal Jogananda Burhagohain Memorial Award, Pona Devi Memorial Award will also be conferred in the same event.
