Northeast Frontier Railway to operate summer special train
GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to operate one summer special train between New Jalpaiguri – Santragachi – New Jalpaiguri for eight trips in both directions from June 10 to July 30 to clear the summer rush of passengers.
Train No. 08047 (Santragachi – New Jalpaiguri Special), will depart from Santragachi at 18:00 hours on all Fridays from June 10 till July 29 to reach New Jalpaiguri at 05:15 hours on every Saturdays. Train No. 08048 (New Jalpaiguri – Santragachi Special), will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 12:15 hours on all Saturdays from June 11 till July 30 to reach Santragachi at 23:45 hours on the same day.
During its both way journey the special train will have stoppages at Dankuni, Barddhaman, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj and Aluabari Road stations.
The summer special train will consist of 21 coaches. There will be 02 Seating cum Luggage Rakes, 01 AC Two Tier, 03 AC Three Tier, 12 Sleeper Class and 03 Second Class General coaches.
The details of stoppages and timings of this train is available at IRCTC website and through NTES and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey, stated a press release.
