Noted educationist Bhabani Kumar Baruah felicitated at Jhanji HNS College auditorium

GAURISAGAR: Jhanji Hem Nath Sarmah College, in collaboration with the people of greater Jhanji area, organized a felicitation meeting for Bhabani Kumar Baruah, former vice-principal and Principal in-charge of Jhanji Hem Nath Sarmah College.

With a view to recognize the contribution of noted educationist and social worker Bhabani Kumar Baruah towards development in the field of education, the felicitation meeting was held at the Jhanji HNS College auditorium on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by Bipul Chandra Borkatoky, president, reception committe, and was attended by Dr Anil Kumar Gogoi, former Principal of the college, and other dignitaries.

Earlier Rajib Dutta, secretary of the reception committee, and Jibomoni Nath, Assistant Professor of the college, anchored the whole programme while Dr. Manjit Gogoi, Principal of Jhanji HNS College, welcomed the guests and gathering. In the function, the felicitation book of Bhabani Kumar Baruah titled Sujan Suhreed was unveiled by Jagat Borthakur, former ADC, Jorhat.

Unveiling the book, he lauded the effort of the people of Jhanji for giving recognition to those who have been rendering their services towards all-round development of greater Jhanji area as well as the State. Bhabani Kumar Baruah expressed his gratitude to the reception committee as well as Jhanji College fraternity for honouring him.
