TINSUKIA: Dr Pradip Kumar Sarma, a renowned physician of Tinsukia, breathed his last at AMCH Dibrugarh on Wednesday. He had mild fever since the past couple of days and developed breathing problem following which he was shifted to AMCH on Tuesday.
Though he tested positive for COVID-19 and was a patient of leukaemia, he died of cardiac arrest. He was 78. His death created panic among many patients who visited him for medical consultation, both at his chamber-Indu Pharmacy at Rongagora Road- and in his residence at Gelapukhuri Road till recently. Meanwhile, the medical fraternity, including IMA Tinsukia branch, expressed shock at his demise. He leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
