KOKRAJHAR: National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Bongaigaon in Kokrajhar district celebrated the 46th Raising Day of NTPC with zeal and enthusiasm recently at its administrative building premises, Salakati and addressed the assembled employees.
Rakesh Kumar, CGM, NTPC unfurled the NTPC flag. Tracing the growth and glorious legacy of NTPC, Kumar recalled the contributions of the employees towards making of the great organization. Kumar appreciated the fact that NTPC, Bongaigaon achieved the highest ever monthly DC of 103.3 per cent (after inception of all three units) in June, 2020.
Kumar outlined the initiatives taken in the NTPC, Bongaigaon on the O&M, environment, ash utilization and COVID-19 management front and thanked all union associations, welfare bodies and Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club for their constant support and feedback.
T. Ravinder, GM (O&M), Umesh Singh, GM (FM), Dr. Anjali, president, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, departmental heads, colleagues and employees from various departments, unions and associations, CISF attended the celebrations. As a part of the celebrations, a raising day walk was done by Rakesh Kumar, CGM, NTPC, Bongaigaon, Dr Anjali, president, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and members of the NTPC, Bongaigaon family. Later, as a part of celebrations, uniforms were distributed to female contractual workers by the NTPC, Bongaigaon management. A friendly football match was also held among the employees to celebrate the occasion -CGM XI vs GM (O&M) with the team from the GM (O&M) emerging victorious.
