NTPC hands over PPE kits & medical equipment to Kokrajhar district administration

KOKRAJHAR: The NTPC, Salakati in Kokrajhar on Friday showed its support in the fight against COVID-19 by handing over necessary health equipment to the district administration of Kokrajhar.

The CGM of NTPC, Rakesh Kumar handed over 500 PPE kits, 500 N-95 masks, five oxygen concentrators and 10 pulse oximeters to the district administration.

The Principal Secretary of BTC, Siddhartha Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, Bhaskar Phukan and Joint Director of Health Services, Kokrajhar, Dr. Jahiruddin Ahmed were present on the occasion on behalf of the district administration. Principal Secretary, BTC, Siddhartha Singh and Deputy Commissioner Bhaskar Phukan appreciated the efforts of NTPC, Bongaigaon and the continuous support provided to the Kokrajhar district administration in its fight against the pandemic. They also appreciated the efforts made by NTPC, Bongaigaon towards community development in the district of Kokrajhar.

Rakesh Kumar of the project stated that NTPC had always followed a strong policy of community development of its stakeholders. "Today when the entire nation is grappling with the COVID-19 crisis, it is a cumulative responsibility of each one of us to shoulder the responsibility and to do whatever we could to battle this pandemic," he said and hoped that this small initiative would be able to help the district administration to better fight the pandemic.
